The rear is fine. With all the parts I have replaced so far, the clunk has gotten not better or worse. Started looking around and discovered a LOT of end play in the passenger side front axle into the transmission, even with tires mounted and sitting on the ground.
WebMay 16, 2012 · We also had a clunk, it was a little worse at low speeds, and worse if you hit a bump when doing a low speed turn. The tie rod ends needing replacing, but it was the sway bar end link that was making the noise. On our car, these parts were worn out at less than 40,000 miles. Moog parts are a lot better and I expect them to last a lot longer.
